"Thank you Melissa for this fabulous recipe. I have made corn beef and cabbage numerous ways in the past. This is by far the best recipe. The Guiness and beef stock add such a richness to the meat. The potatoes, carrots and parsnips are delicious cooked in the broth. I added the onions early on, because that's what my mother did to give the liqu"

"The best shrimp scampi sauce ever. For many years I made a shrimp scampi with a very similar recipe, however, the shallots and red peppers add a nice kick. That and taking the shrimp out so they don't overcook. This will be my go to Shrimp Scampi recipe from now on. "

Reviewed Grilled Leg of Lamb with Pomegranate Molasses

"Have not eaten this yet, but I just spent 2 hours and $8.00 on Pomegranate juice that never thickened. It reduced, but never got thick. Not sure how this is going to work as far as flavor goes. A good thing we all like the taste of lamb. If this doesn't work out, it will be the first recipe of Alton Brown's that did not work for me. That said""

Reviewed Roasted Potatoes, Carrots, Parsnips and Brussels Sprouts

"Served this last night at a dinner party. Everyone loved it. I read the reviews and people were complaining about the pepper etc. I watched the video. About Me

I'm a clinical specialist with a major medical device company. My passions are traveling and eating. Eating is one of lifes great pleasures. Pet peeves rude people. What inspires me to cook. I travel extensively for work and when I get home the last thing I want to do is sit in a restaurant. My cooking is far superior than what I can get in most restaurants.

Favorite Foods

Hard to say what my favorite foods are. There are so many foods that I absolutely love. I'm famous for my Saurerbraten, red cabbage and spatzels that I make for Octoberfest every year. My favorite restaurant is the Inn at Little Washington. The food is fabulous and the service along with the decor make it the best dining experience.
