"I made this pie for Thanksgiving and it was a hit. I ended up using 6 apples instead of 8 and there was still some left over. I would recommend cutting it down to 4-5 apples. As for the sauce my first attempt crystallized. On my second batch I only used 2 teaspoons and stirred frequently until it thickened up. It wasn't as watery then. I will definitely make this dish again.
