Reviewed Challah French Toast
"Off the charts good and easy! The orange zest and honey are a MUST!"
Reviewed Vegetable Tarte Tatin
"Nothing special for the amount of work involved. First of all, the recipe says to roast the onions and garlic with the other vegetables, but later it says to "...scatter the onions and garlic over the vegetables." Very confusing. Then there's the caramel. Sounds so simple: mix sugar with water and bring to a boil till amber color. Let me tell you,"
Reviewed Hot and Spicy Hush Puppies
"I've tried MANY hush puppy recipes and this one by FAR is the best! Easy and delicious! Not too spicy either! My 7 year old couldn't get enough! "
Reviewed Asian Flank Steak Salad Over Cold Noodles
"This recipe claims to only take 50 minutes, but that time does not take into account the overnight marinating for the steak or the two hour cooling/refrigerating for the steak after cooking! The marinade was nice, but I thought the dressing for the noodles was lacking. Had to use some sesame ginger dressing from Trader Joe's to spice up the noodle"
Reviewed Broccoli and Bow Ties
"Nice light summer pasta dish! Very easy to make. "
Reviewed Spice-Rubbed Chicken Breast Tacos with Grilled Poblanos, BBQ Onions and Coleslaw
"Delicious! A lot of work but very tasty! I had to substitute regular chili powder because I couldn't find the ancho chili powder, but other than that it was yummy! "
Reviewed Grilled Steak and Papaya Salad
"Would have given this 5 stars but it was way too spicy, and this is coming from someone who likes things spicy! I was the only person who could handle the dressing on the salad. Everyone else just ate the steak (which was deliciously marinated, thank you Bobby). Will make this again, but will watch how many of those chilis I use next time! "
Reviewed Spinach, Pear and Chicken Salad
"Okay. The combination was nice and light. I don't think the endive was necessary, and I used a cooked chicken from the deli department (huge time saver). "
