Reviewed Chicken Stew with Biscuits
"I'm making this dish tonight....for the third time! It's really tasty and the biscuits are perfect with it. The only thing I change is to half the recipes for the two of us and now I use celery in place of the small onions---just like the combination better with it instead of all the onions. My son loves this dish and requests it often! It's a nice, hearty meal for these cool, gray spring days.

"Very good indeed! Just the perfect amount of sweetness with a light, flakey texture. The next time I make these I will add a little more orange zest as suggested by other reviewers for a little more pronounced orange flavor. This recipe is a definite keeper!"
"This is a very good dish! To those who think it's bland--it's very important to use a good brand of Marscapone as this is key to the flavor. Also, if there isn't enough salt in the pasta water, it will make it bland.
I have made this a few time and have added pancetta, shallots, extra garlic, and Italian parsley along the way. Doing that changes the flavor and it's still very good but I actually prefer the recipe as written with the exception of halving the amount of pasta used as there are only two of us to feed.
This was the first recipe from Giada that I made and I was so impressed with it that I have since tried several---all with fantastic results! She is one of the best cooks on Foodnetwork and I have little or no fear of failure using her recipes.

"Loved these cookies!!! Was looking for a moist cookie recipe & when I saw this one decided to give it a try---very glad I did.
Love most of Giadas recipes and this one is no exception. For those who like a less lemony taste, try using Meyer lemons in place of regular ones for a more toned down lemon flavor.

Reviewed Caramel Sauce
"This caramel sauce is simply delicious! I halved the recipe & decided to use some butter & a pinch of salt as suggested by another reviewer. Having never done anything like this before, I wasn't sure what to expect but ended up having great luck. My sugar started browning before it ever reached the crystallization stage so didn't have to deal with that problem. I never actually stirred my sugar, just moved it around in the pan once in a while. It didn't get as thick as I would have liked [even though I left it on the heat for several minutes--maybe the butter?] but that was alright because it was smooth & creamy. Very, very tasty stuff!!!

"I made this for my son & myself for dinner today, and, in his words, it was "outstanding". I did switch out the basil for cilantro and had to use pasilla pepper in place of the jalapenos because my son isn't too keen on hot foods---otherwise, followed recipe exactly. I suspect using basil in place of the cilantro would also be excellent & will try that next time I make this meal. And there will be a next time because it was just that delicious! I especially enjoyed the tartness of the salsa with the sweetness of the rice & shrimp. This recipe is a keeper!

"I made this exactly as written and it turned out great. Very tasty! Loved that the cake was moist and not heavy in the least. I thought the mix of lemon and blueberry flavors were just perfect. I plan to make this again soon!
