"This was a really great recipe. The vanilla bean cake is simply delish..very moist and tasty..You do have to be careful not to over bake them though. The frosting is another story.....I felt like the espresso made the chocolate too intense....for such a mild flovored cupcake, then again this was my first homemade buttercream......lol Next time "

"We did not like this recipe. We usually like Alton's recipe's but this one, was not what we expected. I think the blue cheese was a little too tangy. Next time I'll try it with a different cheese.

I made this for our family dinner on thanksgiving and my family really loved it and it was so simple to make. My family begged for the recipe. I used sprouts that were still on the stalk. AB was right when he said it goes well with roasted turkey. I would recommend this recipe to everyone, even if you are "ify" on brussel sprouts.
