My Activity

Reviewed Chicken Salad Sandwiches

"This is an easy and excellent chicken salad. It's like many of Ina's recipes, good quality, simple ingredients that produce great flavor. However, be advised that the salt is WAY too much, to the point of being inedible. Ina tends to be pretty aggressive in her seasoning, but this one almost seems to be a typo. Use S&P to taste, or you may be "

Reviewed Fruitcake Cookies

"I am a big fan of Ina's recipes and will be making several for the holidays. However, I have to concur with a previous reviewer that described these as dull and lacking sweetness. The flavor just isn't there. Technically, they were simple to prepare and have a lovely appearance. They would certainly look beautiful on a holiday cookie plate. I"

Reviewed Honey Pistachio Biscotti

"I've made 2 batches of these biscotti, and they do have a very nice flavor. On both occasions the center of the log was raw after the first bake of 25 minutes. They did cook completely after the second bake. These cookies are exceptionally hard to slice, and on each batch I ended up with 8-10 intact biscotti, while the rest broke into pieces. "

Reviewed Sourdough Bread Stuffing

"I doubled this to serve 12 on TDay. I bought 2 sourdough loaves from Whole Foods, and used about 1.5 of them. I followed the recipe exactly as written. I served a very good dinner, probably the best I have done, and the stuffing received the most compliments. We ate nearly all of it, and my family members that took home leftovers claimed the r"

Reviewed Frozen Lemonade Pie

"This is a snap to make and is truly terrific. I'm sure this will be a summertime staple for me. I did use a pre-made crust, something I rarely do, and it worked really well. I'd recommend the Keebler Ready Crust. Make sure to get the larger size, labelled "2 Extra Servings". Otherwise you will have leftover filling. You can also transfer the"

Reviewed Orzo with Sausage, Peppers and Tomatoes

"For something so simple this was terrific. I served it for a casual Sunday dinner. I broiled and chopped the peppers over coffee in the morning to save a bit of time. I used 3 sausages (instead of 2), and finished with 4 oz. of goat cheese. The goat cheese added a very nice flavor to the final product. Very easy to prepare and A+ results."

Reviewed Italian Plum Tart

"This was terrific. Like many of Ina's recipes it's a simple preparation with basic ingredients, but somehow results in wonderful flavor and presentation. I did manage to find Italian plums, but didn't use the liqueur, instead adding some raspberry preserves. I did botch the dough slightly, getting a paste/batter instead of crumbs, but while thi"

Reviewed Strawberry Oatmeal Bars

"I made these strictly by the recipe, and they are terrific as everyone else has stated. The video is also helpful if you care to watch it. Many of my favorite recipes are also the simplest, and this one is as simple as it gets. It can also be used as a baseline for your own variations, using seasonal fruit spreads, chopped nuts, or whatever you"
