Made these following recipe- used basil pesto and cilantro pesto. I topped them before baking with 3 pine nuts- added a more "upscale" presentation. I will definitely make these smaller next time as suggested by someone else's review- a little large for appetizer. Overall, thought the taste was just ok- missing something. Maybe a little cheese. I found this recipe spot on- unlike most of the other reviews.
I did reduce almond extract to 3/4 tsp- too much leaves a very strong flavor.
