Absolutely delicious! I used agave nectar because I didn't have honey and I replaced 1/4 cup of the white flour with soy flour (trying to use this stuff up...). I did find that I only needed to cook it for 20 minutes and it was browned, but I think my oven runs hot. All the adults and children in the house love it. It takes a long time due to rising...

Used gala apples instead of granny smith; 1/4 cup smart balance margarine instead of butter
I did about 1/3 cup cane sugar instead of 1/2 cup sugar and did 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce instead of apple juice
very good""

I made this chili yesterday and it had a nice flavor. I didn't have ground red pepper but, to me, it tasted fine without it. I skipped the corn and added kidney beans but followed everything else on the recipe. Will make again"

Reviewed Rustic Apple Pie with Dried Cherries

Mar 3, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This pie was amazingly delicious! I just served it to my boyfriend and sister-in-law and they both ate it up and said it was really good. I didn't have brown sugar so I put 1 tbsp. of sugar-free syrup on the apples and did only two tbsp. of regular sugar. The syrup added a nice hint of maple and it was plenty sweet. Will make again."
