Reviewed fruit salad with orange-vanilla syrup

Apr 20, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Made this for Easter 2014 and really enjoyed it. Very easy to make and very flavorful. I did only make a 1/2 batch of the syrup and omitted the orange juice and only used the zest. I would make sure not to pour the syrup on any earlier than a couple of hours prior to serving.

I must first say that I used gluten free flour ( cup 4 cup brand), other than that I followed the recipe exactly. I was worried about the texture of the cake while I mixed it but was happy with the baked results. The icing was very yummy and decadent. Everyone at the party loved the cake. I would have liked a little more chocolate flavor in the ca"

I am only rating on the marinade. This was my first attempt of making wings and my husband couldn't stop raving! He even posted a picture to FB because he was so excited to share. I soaked the wings in the buttermilk and I believe that made them very tender. I used a different Sandra Lee recipe for the cooking method and baked them covered with f...

I am only rating the Honey BBQ sauce. This sauce was so yummy! My husband who is not a BBQ fan even liked it a lot. No turmeric so I left it out. I used this sauce to baste my wings after I baked them in the oven. I put them back in for about five minutes and they came out yummy and sticky! Thank you Sunny! Please come out with a cookbook!""

I kind of combined two of Sandra's wing recipes. I soaked the wings in buttermilk first before baking them in the oven. I believe this made them very moist. I did make the spicy sweet chili sauce as well. Instead of orange marmalade though I used a sweet and sour sauce that is very close to a certain golden arches type of sauce (I found that reci...

This chicken recipe is awesome! I allowed it to brine for the full four hours. Then I rinsed and added the dry rub. The smell was so great coming out of the oven! My husband told me after his second bite that I could make this chicken again anytime! I had made 3 chicken ***** since that was how many were in the package. My husband was very full b...

Tried this one time and thought that it was pretty good. I did use the brown rice and added about 1/2 a cup more broth and a little more time in the oven. I think next time I will maybe only add about 1/4 of a cup more broth. ""

I am a huge fan of Claire, but this one was just okay. My husband didn't care for the beans and I didn't care for the taste of the turkey. So this will not be made again at our household. As for the other reviews there is plenty of flavor in this dish, just not flavors for us. I did make the shroom rice from the same episode. It was the highlight...

Yum yum! Cut the recipe in half for just my sweet hubby and me. We still had enough leftover to each have a serving for lunch the next day. This was so easy to put together. Could not find shelled edamame or fresh so I defrosted some frozen in the pod and shelled them. I can't wait to make this one again. Thanks Giada!"
