Reviewed White Bean Dip with Pita Chips

"So easy and so delicious. I made a tiny batch for my children for 430 snack served with homemade pita chips and carrot sticks. My 2 year old particularly loved it. My boys are luke warm, but I hope they will love it after a few more tries. My husband and I think it is smooth, flavorful and so easy to make! Will certainly make this again. A g"

Reviewed Raspberry Tiramisu

"This is very easy to make. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars the first day and 5 stars on the third day. As it sits, it absorbs the flavors and it all melds together and just becomes awesome. I have to laughingly say that I thought it was going to use a Zabaglione so I separated 6 eggs, the last one got yoke in the whites ... so I separated 6 more!! Only then did I reread and see this did not make use of the egg custard. Sure could have saved me some work and lots of scrambled eggs. Without the Zabaglione, this recipe is really so so easy. I did make some changes : I did not have Grand Marnier, so I used Kirch mixed with some orange juice which I added to the raspberry jam. From there I followed the recipe, layering the lady fingers with the jam, and then I changed it again to use more whipped cream, I then added fresh raspberries and drizzled melted chocolate on top. It was good that night, but on the third day, it was divine!! "

Reviewed Polenta with Arugula

"I love this recipe BUT... it is MUCH better with regular polenta - not instant. I also find it a great way to use up summer greens. Too much kale? Well, here is a perfect place to use it up! Easy and delicious... not necessarily healthy with all the butter and cream, but a nice way to change things up.

Reviewed Tiramisu Italiano

"Excellent excellent excellent! This was easy to make and delicious! The hardest part is just keeping up with the whisking of the egg yoke /sugar/ marsala mixture. The end result is wonderful and I made it for a small dinner party. Even the children liked it. The only thing I did differently was to add a layer of lightly sweetened whipped cream to the top and use shaved bittersweet chocolate instead of cocoa powder. My husband has decided he wants this instead of a birthday cake next month! Thanks for the great recipe!

Reviewed Black Pepper Biscuits

"These are great and regularly make wonderful biscuits. This is an easy recipe and my children like to help and make this recipe also. The taste is very good, and the texture light and fluffy. I've made them with and without the pepper topping as my children won't touch 'em with the pepper :). I've also been in a bind and had to substitute sour milk for buttermilk. They still turn out wonderfully but I did not feel it was quite as flakey as the buttermilk. This should me more of a result of the butter bits, however, and this less flakey result could very likely be that my 7yr old was assisting with the butter. For taste and texture, the best biscuits are made with Kate's buttermilk instead of the type you get at the grocery that have stabilizers in them. Thanks Bobby for another wonderful recipe.
