Reviewed Chili Mac
"My family and I really liked this dish. I did do some modifications however. I only used one jalepeno, one pound of meat, and two cups of dry elbow macaroni. I found the consistency to be just right where it had a bit of sauce but not too much and the spiciness just enough but not too much. Really tasty! Another one to put in the recipe book!""
Reviewed Pancetta and Cinnamon Waffles
"I made these with the omelet for dinner this evening and they tasted fantastic! I did use bacon instead of pancetta because I don't really care for it but the contrast between it and the cinnamon was terrific. It also forced me to buy a waffle iron which I think will get much more use now after seeing the ease of making my own waffles at home. ""
Reviewed Baked Gruyere and Sausage Omelet
"I made this tonight and it came out great! I substituted the gruyere for sharp cheddar, used turkey breakfast sausage instead of regular, and added another five minutes to the cooking time. My kids loved it! It did make a lot but it's great for leftovers tomorrow morning. Really easy to make!""
Reviewed Meyer Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with Macerated Strawberry Coulis
"I made these today and I thought they were delicious. I thought they were a slight bit too sweet and thought the coulis slightly overpowered the lemon taste of the pancakes. But the texture was great and the flavors worked well together. I only had a pint of berries (which I thought made plenty) and halved the sugar and OJ. Yummy!"
Reviewed Everything Lo Mein
"I made this last night with a few substitutions. I only used a bag of sprouts and a bag of shredded carrots along with the scallions for veggies, just chicken, oyster sauce instead of hoisin, added a touch of sesame oil, and used srirachi sauce in place of hot sauce. The sauce was great but the srirachi sauce was much spicier than I thought it would be so next time I'll limit it to one teaspoon. I also used rice noodles instead of spaghetti and it was a little shy on noodles. But other than that I thought this dish was great! Will definitely make again! "
Reviewed Lemon Ricotta Cookies with Lemon Glaze
"These are an absolute staple for my Christmas cookies. The only thing I do recommend is to keep the dough chilled and the cookie sheets cool when spooning it out or it will spread and you'll get huge flat cookies! I'm not much for lemon either but I can't stop eating these! "
