Like a lot of others, my sauce turned out too thin. If this happens, here's something you can try:

After taking the sweet potatoes out of the oven at the end of the recipe, scoop up all the syrup from the tray and put it back in the saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring often. Reduce the syrup to your desired consistency...
