"I love the cake recipe and have utilized the frosting, as well as, other types. Everyone that eats this cake then asks which bakery I bought it from.
Definitely worth making and eating."
We are an American family living on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia for the next several years (we literally live in the jungle area). I carry a master’s degree in counseling psychology, working in the past mainly with abused children. We are a mature couple with young children, 4 yrs. and 9 months, and I am now a stay at home mom. It can be very challenging to make meals that are similar to our taste. We have many fresh fruits and vegetables on hand, but they can be strong in flavor, Durian fruit, being the strongest. I am always looking to make the dishes here lighter in oil and fats, coconut milk, palm oil, etc., is stable for the indigenous peoples. I love to cook, but I am making three different meals a night, I am a vegetarian, my son only eats beef, and my husband eats all meat. Fish is very sparse here and at time iffy. I really like to find recipes that focus on using natural ingredients over processed foods. I really would love to make one meal that would suit all our taste and preferences.
