My Activity

Reviewed Blueberry Coffee Cake Muffins

"Delish. Like other reviewers I did add the zest of a lemon, and extra blueberries (because it looked a little light on blueberries, honestly). Might be good with a little sprinkle of sugar on top, but they are perfectly sweet. Made 16 muffins AND a whole tin of mini muffins! This will definitely be my go-to recipe!"

Reviewed Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf with Brown Sugar-Ketchup Glaze

"Dang. Really dissapointed. Everything smelled amazing, but it was just ok. My husband and I thought this lacked seasoning. I did everything to the T, except I used Chipolte tabasco instead of regular. I would bump up the salt and Worschtecher next time. More parsley? I don't know, it needed more kick.""

Reviewed Grilled Thai Beef Salad

"Fantastic dressing! The only thing is that this salad needs veggies. I added juienned cucumbers, red pepper, and grated carrot to the salad. And I used thinly sliced red onion instead of shallots. Serious perfection!!!"

Reviewed Corn and Crab Chowder

"Used a big can of crab from Trader Joes and added some extra flour to thicken it up -- perfect! I also used canned corn, worked fine. Enjoy!"

Reviewed Fontina Risotto with Chicken

"Sinfully delish! First of all, I used REAL chicken breasts (sautee chicken tenders wtih garlic, olive oil and herbs de provence) and cut into bite size pieces. Followed the recipe to a T otherwise. My husband and I were oohing and ahhhing! SO GOOD!"

Reviewed Double Mustard Crusted Pork Roast with Jus

"Great flavor and amazingly tender! I actually made the jus into a gravy (just made the butter into a roux with a smidge of flour) and it was too thick so I thinned it out with some beef stock, as I already used my chix stock. It was to die for! A total keeper!"

Reviewed Otto's Beer Cheese Soup

"4.5 stars! Crusty sourdough loaf is a must. Like the other reviewers I cut back a bit on both the butter and the flour -- and I added a bit more broth/beer to thin it out a bit. Secret weapon? Loads of cracked black pepper and a smidge of garlic salt ... it needed just a little something extra. Definitely a keeper!
