Made exactly as written, this is just a terrible excuse for a salsa. Parsley? Really?"

Reviewed Stuffed Poblano Peppers

Was very good. But i will have to disagree with some reviewers about heat and poblanos. while poblanos usually are a mild pepper, i have had some that have been hotter than jalapenos or serranos. if you dont want to take the chance, use anaheims."

yep pretty much my Mom's goulash...but we always used a full lb of pasta to stretch it even more. Now when i make it though, i use 2 cans of Ro-Tel Tomatos to spice it up and a can of reg stewed toms and ground turkey. i think i will make it tomorrow"

Reviewed Creamy Black Beans

Jan 27, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

basic recipe, but no need to add olive oil, leave it out for less fat..one of the reasons i like black beans, besides their great flavor, is i've never had to presoak them like other beans, they cook up fine as is..also to make them creamy, use a stick/immersion blender or push them against the sides of your pot while cooking

Reviewed Enchiladas

cut out LOTS of fat by microwaving the tortillas to soften instead of putting them in oil...the cornstarch to the chile sauce is not a good addition, although making your own sauce is 100X better than anything from a can

Reviewed Chicken Fried Steak

i like using cube steak, its already tenderized...and i didnt like the addition of thyme to the gravy, other than that, its just a basic CFS recipe...and their is nothing wrong with that....if you find that the crust is too thick here, i would just put the meat in the egg, then the flour, skipping the first flouring

a weak version of a green chile cheeseburger...the recipe title is totally misleading, relleno, means stuffed, there is nothing stuffed here, just a cheeseburger topped with a roasted chile....
