Made this tonight and it was delicious! Since some people commented on lack of flavor i sauteed the mushrooms in butter, olive oil and garlic then threw in the asparagus. I toasted the nuts in some butter also. Very good and easy to make. Will be making this again.

Very good, a little labor intensive but worth it. Based on previous reviews I didnt add any salt and it tasted great. There was enough from the sausage and the cheese. Might try to make the cheese sauce with Parmesan next time for different flavor.

OMG!
This is what my husband said after he had one bite of this. This soup is amazing. I took viewers advise and added small can of diced green chilies and instead of salsa I used 1 can fire roasted tomatoes. This makes alot of soup! Will make this soup again and again.

Made this last night for dinner and loved it! I use bacon instead of panchetta The written recipe says to cook the shallots, garlic and zucchini at the same time however I cooked the shallot and garlic first then added the zucchini and added s&p. This recipe is a keeper."

Made this last night and the family loved it. The chewy nutty grain is so different and good. Hard to find though. I recommend you call ahead to save yourself some driving around. I found it at a high end grocery store. This receipe is a keeper. It makes alot. I recommend cutting it in half if just for a few people
