Reviewed Chocolate Ganache Cupcakes

These are for chocoholics only. Try substituting Hershey's Special Dark for the syrup. They are much better. I have made these as regular size cupcakes & as mini cupcakes (gone in 2 bites!) In Maryland, we still have Hershey syrup in cans, so don't give up (I always knew New Englander were strange, I'm married to one!)"

Reviewed Balsamic Glazed London Broil

Jun 17, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've made this 2 times. The 1st time I didn't use good quality Balsamic & still thought it was good, but it definitely wasn't a thick glaze. The 2nd time I used a better quality vinegar & let it sit for a few minutes off the heat. It definitely became thicker & was even better! I'm new to London Broil but will keep this in the cookbook."

THe filling was good & it was easy to make but...way too much yogurt!! I had to scrape off the "Bechamel" to even tast the filling. Next time I'll try Ina Garten's recipe. It;s more of a Bechamel sause with a little yogurt added""

Reviewed Company Pot Roast

Mar 30, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very Good! Hubby loved it. I've never made good pot roast until recently & this was one of the best. I did use bourbon instead of cognac because I had it. Served it over mashed potatoes. My neighbor thought it was great, especially after finding it in her fridge after a long flight home!"

Reviewed Sunny's Chicken Fried Steak with Diced Potato Gravy

Love chicken fried steak, but never tried to make it. This was excellent. Left out cumin because I don't like it. And I confess I didn't make the gravy because I didn't have time (used Libby's Sausage Gravy-pretty good with only the addition of some buttermilk to thin)Hubby thought it was great, even liked the creamed spinach & buttermilk biscuits...
