Reviewed curry chicken pot pie

Mar 26, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This dish was so yummy, I'm making it again for the second night in a row! I would normally just eat my leftovers for dinner tonight, but we are having friends over for dinner, so I'm just whipping up a fresh batch. The only thing I will do differently is double the liquid and the veggies. I don't really think this recipe makes enough for 6-8 people....

Reviewed Chicken Tortilla Soup

Feb 16, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

So delicious! I had some leftover shredded chicken in the freezer which I used to make this soup. I also added a little extra fajita seasoning for an added kick. This dish came out so flavorful and so comforting! I will absolutely make this soup a part of my usual collection of dinner options!""

Reviewed Mushroom-Caraway Soup

Jan 16, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This soup is missing a lot of things. It's not well rounded or full bodied in texture, and it's pretty bland. I just made a pot of this for this week's lunch, so I'm gonna eat it, but I'm gonna complain about it too!

I did add sauteed onions and a couple cloves of garlic. Next time I'd use this soup as a base and add some chunks...

Reviewed Three Bean and Beef Chili

Jan 11, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've been making this recipe for a couple years now, and I haven't changed it one bit! You can easily make this as healthy as Ellie created it to be, or splurge by adding extra toppings. Either way, you cannot go wrong with this recipe! 100% yummy!""

Reviewed Smoky Kale Chips

Dec 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

As long as you don't expect it to taste like a potato chip, you will LOVE this recipe! I like kale in my soups, salads, and in a juice. But I LOVE them as a chip!! I added some ground nutmeg along with the salt and cayenne pepper. Baked them at 300 degrees for 20min, and they came out beautifully! I already ate through the batch I just made! ...

Reviewed Tres Leches Coconut Cupcakes with Dulce de Leche Buttercream

Dec 1, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These are amazing!! I don't think I made the frosting properly, but it still tasted great and the cupcakes were a hit! This recipe is very time consuming, so if you're going to make this, I suggest doubling or even tripling the cupcake recipe. The recipe for the buttercream frosting makes way too much frosting for just 14 cupcakes.

Some...

Reviewed Thai-Style Halibut with Coconut-Curry Broth

Nov 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a home run! So easy and SO yummy!! This was by far the best dish I've ever made in under 30 minutes. It was a one pot wonder, full of flavor, and incredibly healthy! The only thing I added to the recipe was lemongrass, which helped round out the flavor. I added it at the same time as the broth and coconut milk. I will continue to mak...

Reviewed Zucchini Parmesan Crisps

I love these zucchini crisps!! I eat them all the time as a side to my main dish. They're not incredibly crispy, but I like them anyway! ""

Reviewed Spicy Chicken Tenders with Honey-Mustard

Sep 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These were just ok. The tenders baked up nicely and were really crispy. I do like the idea of using cornmeal instead of bread crumbs. I just thought the tenders were a little on the bland side. I'm not sure how to fix that, but I will try by marinating the chicken in some yogurt or something. I'll give this another go!""

Reviewed Balsamic Chicken Drumettes

Sep 13, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've made this recipe a couple times, and it is so yummy! Make sure you buy the small drummettes and not the chicken drumsticks because I thought the drumstick were far too big, and I loved how sweet and well coated the smaller drummettes got. I wouldn't change a single thing on this recipe. ""

Reviewed Farro Salad with Grilled Eggplant, Tomatoes and Onion

Aug 30, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious! I made this recipe last night, and I cannot wait to go home and eat my leftovers! Since the I made the salad last night, I bet the flavors have melded together and will be even better tonight! There were only a couple things I did differently. I didn't have any farro on hand, so I substituted it with quinoa. I also added a splash of...
