The cake baked wonderfully- baked it in a 9x12' dish for about 60 minutes. The cake without the icing could use a little more sugar. However, I felt the cake used to much of oil and the cake slice felt too oily. This was quite a turn off. I would definitely try making it the next time using perhaps 1 cup of oil and use a combination of brown sugar"

A delicious cake. A generous quantity of lemon zest- just over a tablespoon definitely gave a favourable fresh, lemony taste. I substituted brown sugar for the granulated sugar to ensure it was a moist cake. I would like to try this recipe without butter And by using oil instead. I personally like the sponginess and moistness that an oil cake deli"
