Reviewed good eats meatloaf

Jul 30, 2014 on

Wow! This was delicious. Best meatloaf ever. Two things I did different only because of what I had on hand. I only had 2 lbs ground beef so I added 1/2 lb. of bulk sausage and ran out of ketchup so I just used tomato sauce instead. My husband raved over it. Definitely a keeper! Thanks. Alton for taking meatloaf to a whole new level!!

OK, so what do you do with the potatos? I must be missing something here.

Wow! These were fantastic! My entire family, including my 4 year old granddaughter, raved over these. Followed the recipe but baked them in the oven instead of frying. They didn't need any oil, just a light spray of cooking spray. Will definitely make these again.

Couldn't get the rice to cook through. Cooked 35 minutes and rice was still crunchy. Added more water and cooked another 10 minutes and was still a little crunchy. Family was tired of waiting so we ate it anyway. Flavor was really good. I will cook the rice by itself next time and stir it together before serving.

Everyone loved this! I used leftover lamb from a leg of lamb and threw in the leftover lamb gravy with the broth. Also, who has "veal" stock? I just used beef. I didn't have any carrots, so I threw in some diced potatoes as a filler. Dumplings were fantastic! Even my 5 year old grand daughter loved it.

If you have very fresh mushrooms they don't need to cook as long. Delicious!"
