Reviewed Chinese Braised Short Ribs

Oct 29, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was my firt time making ribs and I thought this recipe was very easy and yummy. I followed the recipe exactly. Loved the Chinese 5 spice flavor! The two things I would change would be salting the meat a little more and only use one cup of beef broth (there was a lot of liquid left over!)The meat was falling off the bone. Great recipe! "

Very yummy chili! Followed everyone else's advice and eyeballed the amount of stock I added (2-3 cups). I cooked my own beans and used the bean "water" to add to the chili. Didn't do the essence mix but added the spices I had on hand individually. Didn't have the cocoa either and it was still great. Topped it off with plain yogurt and monterey ja...

Very yummy, warming and hearty. Perfect for a cold winter day. I added one diced potato to the veggies in the beginning. Also topped it with chopped avocado and a dollop of plain yogurt. Follow the recipe/review about adding the 11 cups of broth. If you don't, it will be too thick and more of a stew. Highly recommended....""

I love the simplicity of this recipe...however I would recommend not to salt the chicken breasts just because the cheese, cream of chicken soup and the stuffing mix is all salty enough (learned my lesson the hard way). I also play around with different cheeses (since I'm not fond of swiss) I've used smoked gouda and havarti. Very yummy and easy.""

Saw this on her show and it looked so beautiful...had to try it! As Claire says "SO GOOD!" Absolutely loved it! Only thing I changed was that I used long grain brown rice. ""
