Reviewed chickpea spread with sesame seed paste: hummus bi tahina

I like this recipe quite a bit. It yields a simple tasting hummus with nice texture. The amount of Tahini was at the limit of my Tahini tolerance so I'll cut back by a teaspoon next time. I imagine this to be an excellent base for more tasty/spicy hummus. For those using dry chick peas I think a 1/4-1/3 lb will yield the 2 cups needed.

Reviewed Refried Beans

I used about 1/2 lb of dried pinto beans, rinsed, soaked overnight, rinsed again then cooked with a clove of garlic. I doubled the other ingredients except the broth, left the cooked garlic with the beans and omitted the fresh garlic (family preference here). I used a potato masher to smash the beans. Overall, great results."
