My Activity

Reviewed Fresh Peach Cake

"Absoutely delicious....will definitley make this for my next company meal and my husband loved it too. Sure wish I had some ice cream. Well, it's January and I didn't have any peaches....substituted three Red Delicious apples and walnuts. I prefer my pie crusts and baked goods cooked "lite", so I timed it for forty-five minutes initially. It was still wet in the middle so I continued for another ten to make the fifty-five recommendation. After fifty-five it was still wet in the middle, so I covered the two ends with foil, so it wouldn't get any darker and baked for another ten. That did it. So a total of sixty-five minutes for me. p.s. I slso didn't have unsalted butter so I cut down the salt to 1/4 tsp and I love nuts so I added a little more than half cup on top. I also know that Red Delicious isn't the preferred apple to use, however, that didn't stop me from making the recipe.
