Reviewed beer cheese soup with garlic butter crostini

This recipe was a hit at a party I threw. I did substitute Comte for Gruyere because of the expense and quantity (I doubled it). I also will use heavy cream instead of half and half next time because it came out thinner than I expected. Great flavor overall.

Always wanted to try one of Claire's 5 ingredient dishes, and this one looked so pretty and easy it was almost too good to be true. Well, it was easy, and it did look pretty when it came out of the oven, but the pastry on the bottom stayed raw and did not crisp up at all. It was also very soupy, since there was nothing used to thicken the juices"
