Reviewed Spicy Crab Cakes with Lemon Aioli Sauce

"Made these for a quick dinner this summer. Didn't have red pepper so used a dash of chipoltle pepper instead. The Panko breadcrumbs really do work the best for these. Used the Neely's tip of placing formed cakes in the frig to set before frying and that worked great. The Lemon Ailo sauce was good also. Again didn't have chili powder so used p"

Reviewed Hurricane Cocktails

"Wonderful drink for a hot day or evening! I have requests for this drink from friends and family alot during the summer. I do add a few more ounces of orange juice and less of granadine. Also leave out the sugar as I use Rose's lime juice instead of fresh since limes are so expensive in the midwest. Make a pitcherful and enjoy."

Reviewed Crab Cakes with Poached Eggs and Wild Mushroom Sauce

About Me

Work in human resources but love to cook & entertain our friends and family.  Wine is one of our passions as well as travel when we can.  People that won't at least try a different food before saying they don't like it is one of our pet peeves.  At least give it a try first!  We are inspired to cook just by all the wonderful different opportunitites to learn something new.  From sushi to grits and in between we want to try it.

Favorite Foods

Our favorite is seafood, which is hard to get fresh in the midwest.  One of our favorite dishes to prepare is shrimp and grits for Christmas Eve dinner.  We are known for our homemade chocolate creme brulee and great pork dishes.  Our favorite sushi restaurant in Wilmington NC is Nikki's on Front St whenever we are lucky enough to get home.  The Sea Change in Minnepolis is another favorite.  My dream meal would be to have dinner with the Neely's, Paula Deen and Bobby Flay.  Wonderful people & wonderful food!
