Reviewed Old-Time Beef Stew

I thought that this recipe was fantastic. After reading other's reviews I did make some changes. I used venison instead of beef (because that is what I had in the house) and used beef broth instead of water. I also added some frozen peas for color. It was very earthy and hearty. Served with biscuits made a perfect meal!

This recipe was delicious! I did not have ground chicken so I used a pound of diced chicken thighs, and I also substituted the swiss chard for fresh spinach. The flavor was fantastic. Definitely looking forward to making this again."
