DIVINE. I made this recipe and added 1/2 cup sugar as suggested in the Neely's "Gina's Best Collards" recipe. I also used a giant smoked ham hock, extra hot pepper sauce and a can of beer in place of 1 quart of water. My friends ate the entire pot and said it would be criminal to not save the potlicker for soup. REALLY GOOD.""

I actually made Paula Deen's collards recipe HOWEVER, I borrowed the idea of adding sugar suggested in this recipe. My collards were DELECTABLE. Definitely cut the sugar in half and add ONLY a 1/2 cup otherwise, it will be really sweet. This new addition gave the collards that "something, something" and that something was GOOD.""

This is amazing carrot cake. I too doubled the amount of spices which made for a very rich and moist cake. I also baked the batter off as cupcakes and added a touch of maple syrup to the frosting. Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend couldn't stop eating them and I think he's having one right now!"
