Absolutely delicious. It was huge and overflowed my baking dish so I put it in 9 X1 3 by 2-1/2 aluminum pan and it still overflowed a bit. 1-1/2 pounds of mozzarella cheese was a lot to shred but I hate the preshredded cheese. I also used small curd 4% cottage cheese instead of ricotta based on Cooks Illustrated's recommendation and cooked the pasta...

Good recipe and very similar to what my mom made. She added molasses, ginger root and a little bit of mustard which really gives it an extra zing. Great with roasted pork."

I will try this and it looks great.... but... I had to review it for one reason. Many of the Food Network shows promote the use of fresh, not jarred or canned, ingredients. Just watch The Next Food Network Star and you'll see how anyone who uses anything but fresh ingredients is judged badly. ""
