I made this for brunch today using organic yellow grits and almond milk instead of cows milk. My guests all had seconds and thirds!

The sauce was pasty and bland. My husband had to rescue it and added maple syrup which helped bring out the flavor a lot more. However, I wouldn't bother making it again.
