I made this after a full day on the slopes, so I appreciated how easy it was to prepare. My only change was rice noodles instead of linguine. It was a hit with all 6 diners. This would be a great 'group participation' recipe.

This will be going into the regular chili rotation at our house. How lucky that Whole Foods just happened to have chuck roast on sale this weekend. The recipe looks daunting, but it's really not difficult, just a lot of ingredients and a lot of chopping. Delicious way to spend a snowy Saturday.""

We made this over the weekend and loved it. It does make a lot of sauce so we might cut that back a bit but will definitely be making this again"

Served this to a "we love potatoes" crowd and everyone loved it. On the show she used 3T. maple syrup so that's what I did, and I only used 1t. salt. I don't know about the reviewer who said you could halve the recipe for 6 people, it was completely gone at my table of six. I find the Israeli couscous in the bulk section at Sunflower Markets or ...

Put me down as another who isn't crazy about Pot Roast, but we loved this recipe. I did end up cooking it for about 4 hours, but our boiling point is a lower temperature here in Colorado so that might have been a factor. I did it more like the show - he quartered one onion, cut an entire head of garlic in half. We had the last of our garden tomatoes,...
