Anytime I have ever tried to make biscuits they have come out tough. With Alton's recipe, they were tender, flaky, and flavorful; and that was eating the last biscuit cut from the "reworking" the dough for a third time. I made the recipe exactly as given and had no issues."

I used 1% milk instead of whole milk in this recipe to save on some calories & fat. I will never go back to store bought pudding after making this recipe. It tasted amazing! And no funky after taste like you get with the store bought pudding mix."

These came out of the oven VERY crunchy! And it was so nice not to have an "oily" taste to the onion rings that comes from frying them. My family loved them and I'll be making them again tonight! Also, my local store did not have Maui onions available as they were "out of season" so I used a regular/plain "white" onion and it came out just perf"

The fish came out tender and succulent. The homemade tarter sauce was also a real hit with the family. We now use the sauce for any fish we cook.

As for the beer, we didn't have any Irish Stout, so we used a bottle of Samuel Adams. Still tasted excellent!""
