This is exactly how I've made my fried rice for over 30 years. I always add cooked, chopped shrimp to it. The bacon is a very acceptable substitute for the Chinese sausages!

Doubled this to feed my crew of nine. It was very soupy, but absolutely delicious. There was nothing left except about a cup of the liquid and a few veggies--I'm finishing it now as a yummy lunch! Will make it again and again!
