"Sorry, I forgot to mention that I also fried the beet green leaves. BE VERY CAREFUL if you try this it splaters MUCH more than slices of beet and yam. So stand back when adding to hot oil. Greens were tasty when added salt but very fragile and breaks apart easily.""
"Thought it would be a nice change instead of potato chips. Some beet and yam came out nice and crip. But on some the perimeter where it was not golden came out soggy and chewy. I tried to keep oil at a consent 350 but I did notice it did creep up a bit maybe oil was too hot. Any thoughts? ""
