Amazing! I added just a pinch of saffron & served it with a gremolata of fresh parsley fresh thyme lemon zest & garlic. It is WORTH the fresh clams & your own broth...just do it!!! Yum!

Yes short ribs have gotten expensive so I tried this with a beautiful choice chuck roast from my favorite meat purveyor Costco. I cut the roast into large chunks the size of a short rib. This dish is amazing. The meatballs are my go to recipe for meatballs all of the time.
I make it sometimes and leave out the chicken as I think it loses some of its flavor and I don't care for the bones. At any rate it is wonderful. The sauce cannot be beat! Perfect for cold, snowy Chicago days!"
