Reviewed Mexican Chocolate Pecan Pie

"I saw this recipe yesterday and was so excited to try it today. My pies were terrible. The crusts were so wet from the 14 tablespoons of butter that they didn't bake correctly and they did not taste good at all. It was like eating chocolate covered pecans, there was no 'pie' in my pie crust. 6 cups of pecans and 3 sticks of butter was just too much and pecans are so expensive. I feel like I just wasted almost $30.00 and a lot of time on 2 pies that I need to throw away. I don't know what I did wrong - I read over the recipe again and again and I followed what it told me to do.
If anyone tries it and it works, let me know. I would love to know where I went wrong.
