Reviewed Smothered Pork Chops

Feb 26, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe was very easy to follow and it came out wonderfully. The only thing I changed was to use heavy cream instead of buttermilk and to cut the flour mixture in half and it was plenty for the 8 boneless chops I used. The gravy came out so creamy and very tasty! I think I might up the cayenne a little bit next time. I really enjoyed the kick "

If I could give this more stars I would, Really delicious!!! I was even given the compliment that this was, by far, the best dessert I have ever made.

I did adjust a few things after reading the comments, I reduced the streusel and crust by a 1/4 and added 1/4 of a tsp. of cinnamon to each. I also added 1/3 cup of chopped and toasted...

I tried this with chicken breasts and was amazed at how tasty this dish was. I was a bit concerned about the parmesan staying on before dipping it in the eggs but had zero problems. I also browned the chicken for a couple of minutes on each side to get them nice and golden and then finished them off in the oven. Can't wait to try this with pork ch"

Will never buy store bought again with how easy this was to make. I made just one change and used Mexican Oregano because that was what I had on hand. Delicious!"

This cake was very easy to make and I loved the cake flour. It made the cake so light and fluffy. I will admit that is a very sweet cake but I love sweets!!! Although, I didn't add the icing, the cake definitely stands on its own without it. I used a 9x13 pan and had no overflow problems and the cake popped out perfectly fine. Thank you for anothe"

Jan 21, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I am so happy with how this turned out. I did make a few alterations, used beef broth (low sodium) instead of water. I doubled the worcestershire sauce, used 2 cloves of garlic, used ground cloves because I didn't have allspice, added a few dashes of seasoned salt and added 8 small red potatoes when I added the veggies. For the pepper I added to t"

This was the first dish I tried from FN. I've been meaning to post a review when I made this for Christmas dinner but just now getting around to it. Everyone insists I make it every holiday from now on. Like many other reviewers I wanted to try to duplicate the old family recipe because I didn't get it from my Father or Grandmother before they bot"

All I can say is...WOW!!! Simply the best pork chops I have ever had.. The brine made them so tender that you could almost cut it with your fork and the apples and raisins were simply delicious. I don't think I will ever eat pork chops again without putting them in a brine first. The only thing I'd do different next time is that I might use a bit "

I've tried this with cheddar, colby jack, pepper jack, swiss...all were DELISH!! I don't think I'll ever go back to the cheese being on top.

I did borrow a suggestion from another chef the 2nd time making these and that is to brown them for 2 minutes on each side and them finish them off in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes at 400 degrees...

Simply delicious and true to it's name, extremely creamy. I might use low fat cream cheese next time just to see the difference.

One note: I preferred them right after mashing, I didn't really see the need to put them in the oven as they were a bit drier afterwards but this is why I gave it only 4 stars. Definitely was 5 stars...
