I'm a lover of simple good food. Ironically, a collector of recipes and bookmarker of food blogs, I very rarely follow a recipe. Rather, I close my eyes and imagine how different tastes go together. It sounds brilliant and the method does work - however there have been colossal fails - which are always funny to recall. When I've hit upon something wonderful my husband will beg for the "recipe" to be written down so it can be replicated.

Breakfast, Salad, Anything Thai, Latkes, Knishes, Matzo anything, Mushrooms, White American Cheese, Thai Food in general, Crab, Scallops and Fresh Haddock. French Dressing (the un-natural orange colored kind), pasta salad with tuna, Greens: Collard, Kale, Mustards, etc., Brussel Sprouts!, Mom's Bread Pudding, Mom's Meatballs, My Mother-in-laws canned green beans and really anything she makes.
