Excellent. I had to look up what a cardoon was, it's a relative of the artichoke, but the recipe doesn't explain where to put them after he boils them in milky water. I didn't have them on hand, so omitted them. Also, 4 tomatoes were needed. To save time I didn't pre-boil the potatoes, just sliced them raw. I covered the dish with aluminum foil...
