made this tonight and it was great! i cooked the flour and veg a bit (as i'm used to doing with a butter/flour roux) before adding everything else. next time i'll try doing it with bacon instead of butter as others have suggested. this recipe is easily adaptable to individual cook's tastes. leave out the "clam" and juice and use leeks instead o"
