"This pie does not work with sugar pumpkins. The pumpkins themselves have no flavor at all and are too watery tasting. The batter cooked up grainy and flat. I did cut the bananas down to three because they have a way of overpowering anything you put them in. I did like the crust though! I am going to try this recipe again with revisions. I usually love everything Tyler cooks but not this one and neither did anyone else who tried it Thanksgiving day. I would also suggest dropping the merigue too. I will be back and let you know what I used and how it turned out.
