Reviewed Best Gravy Ever

Dec 2, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

We've made the Good Eats turkey 3 years n a row and love it. I hate making gravy and have never found a recipe that I like. I only just found Alton's gravy recipe the day before Thanksgiving and decided to try it. It was a HUGE hit. I found my forever gravy recipe. The red wine adds a great flavor. Who knew?!?! Thanks Alton for another great recipe....

I've never eaten beets before but decided to grab some at the farmer's market. Someone mentioned pickled beets so I searched online and picked Alton's recipe. I usually love his recipes and this one is no exception. I am a beet eating convert. I've requested 20 from my farmer and will be canning them this weekend. I might even give them as Christm"

I almost never give bad reviews but I'm just not a fan of these pancakes. I made the recipe as written and found them too difficult to flip. By the time they were cooked enough to flip they were turning black on the outside. I turned down the heat to med-low for the second batch and it was about the same. The bananas left mushy spots in the middle"

I found this while looking for recipes to use up some of the bazillion tomatillos my plants produced this year. What a great find! It's incredibly delicious. I refried some leftover black beans and it made an excellent meatless meal. I only made a couple of changes: I only used one serrano because my 7 & 3 year-olds can only take so much spice. I "

I watched the video and followed the recipe as is. We loved it! I've never had such a great crust that stayed on just right! I was glad for Alton's use of shortening since we're trying to cut canola oil out of our diets. This was certainly a splurge but well worth it. I can always count on Alton's recipes to "work." Thanks!!!"

Jul 24, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

We harvested lots of cucumbers from the garden and needed a good recipe to use them up. This fit the bill and we really like it a lot. It was delicious. I made a few adjustments, though. I halved the recipe and that was more than enough to feed my family of 4. I also had a bunch of serranos from the garden so I removed the seeds/veins from one and"

Yum! Yum! Yum! I just made this and it's a hit! We all gobbled it up (including my 2 and 6 year-olds). I decreased the cayenne to 1/8tsp because of the little ones and couldn't even detect it. I'll definitely add more next time. Plus, I didn't have a cinnamon stick so I just added 1/4 tsp. I think that was about right. I also checked the...

I love using quinoa and am always looking for different quinoa recipes. This was good. I'm not a huge tabbouleh fan but I enjoyed this. It's really healthy and my husband enjoyed it, as well, so that's a plus. And it really was better the next day like Aarti said.""
