Not sure why these are called Belgian Buns. I was born and raised in Belgium. Never seen these in my life until I moved to the US...these look much more like Koffiekoeken, sweet bread/pastry items of various ingredients...very Flemish."

@ joehelton: there were parboiled potatoes that they grated in the food processor. Dry spices: salt, pepper, granulated garlic, granulated onion and cayenne. Mix dry mix into potatoes evenly, then bind with whisked eggs with (I though I heard) tamari added to it, and mixed well.
Looked like they used a small (3 or 4 oz) scoop to measure off...
