I used all purpose flour + salt + baking powder in lieu of self rising flour as other people recommended. The proportions are as follows: 1C all purpose flour + pinch salt + 1.25 teaspoon baking powder. I made 2 Cups and used only 1.5 cups are recipe called for. It worked!
