No Italian (like me) would use eggs, breakfast sausage, pepperoni and cottage cheese in Lasagna! She could save a lot of money leaving those things out of the recipe and add more ricotta and use more cheeses.. I like her recipes but she should get Italian ones from Italians. :)

Very good! I used leeks and onions in mine. I just like the taste of leeks in split pea soup. I also made my own curry powder because I find the store bought too hot for me (comes with age)

I would never add bacon to curried recipes. Sounds very strange.

Agree with other reviewers. WAY too thin. I agree with the reviewer to use 4 cups stock and 3 cans of black beans. It also seemed lacking something.

Reviewed Muttar Paneer

It's Missing Something...I agree with other reviews. It's too dry, it's not flavorful enough. I used ghee to cook with for more flavor, and heavy cream at the end and it still tastes bland. I added more salt too..

Paneer cheese is not salty. It's a very sweet milk cheese..It is really an important part of this dish. Tofu doesn't do it justice.

You can find paneer cheese in any Indian grocery store, or you can make it yourself. Very easy. On Indian cooking websites they have the recipe.

Reviewed Cuthberts' Tea Shoppe Rum Cake

Dec 27, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Good rum cake recipe. I would have liked it to be a little bit more wet with glaze. It seemed just a little dry. Being Italian and used to rum pastries :) I would double the glaze recipe, but cut back a 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of sugar because the cake is already very sweet.

Reviewed Spinach Lasagna

Dec 27, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I made this for Christmas dinner. My problem with this recipe was that the recipe is different from how Rachel did it on TV. She put the spinach, ricotta and cheeses separately. The recipe says to mix all of them together with egg yolks and layer that with the sauce. I don't recall egg yolks on the show. The other problem was that it also said to...

Reviewed Turkey Cutlets with Cranberry Orange Stuffing and Pan Gravy

Nov 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Pretty good. I used 3 corn muffins instead of the cran/orange because I don't like orange anything and I added coarsely chopped chestnuts. The stuffing was a hit, the cutlets were ok. The store brand I bought were too thin so they were a little dry. I had a little trouble with the gravy, getting thick but maybe because I used broth instead of stoc"
