The length of time it took for carmelizing the onions was definitely misrepresented, but easily fixed when I cranked up the heat after the hour was done. I wrote the recipe down as I watched and should have gotten on line for more accurate measurements. Leaving the grocery store $40 dollars later made me really question the $10 dollar dinner theory....
