My Activity

Reviewed Skillet Almond Shortbread

"I was excited to make this when I saw it being made on the show. It looked so easy and sounded so good that I had to make it for myself. I have to say I'm a little disappointed with how it turned out. Had to use vanilla instead of almond extract since I didn't have any. It ended up tasting very boring. Maybe the flavor makes all the difference alt"

Reviewed Vanilla Panna Cotta

"So easy to make. Tasted delicious too...very smooth and creamy and not overly sweet. I didn't make the chocolate sauce but instead served it with a strawberry-fig compote. Gale Gand's recipes never fail for me!"

Reviewed Wild Mushroom Ragut on Crispy Risotto Cakes with Truffles

"Very tasty! The risotto cake was the best part. Crispy on the outside, still creamy on the inside. If I was going to make this again the only thing I would do differently would be to use button mushrooms and portabellos (or criminis). I spent a lot of money on shitaki and oyster musrooms as well but I think their delicate flavor was overpowered by the thyme and tomato in the recipe. Still tasty but could be made using less expensive mushrooms for the same effect."

Reviewed Caponata

"Made this the other day and it was AWESOME! I served it on toasted baguette with baby arugula and burrata cheese...to die for! The only changes I made were that I omitted the zucchini (got some zucchini haters in the family) and added parsley instead of mint. Delish! "

Reviewed Coconut Cream Bread Pudding

"I knew from the moment I watched Paula Deen make this that it would be good so I had to try it. I made it for my daughter's baptism and it was a hit. Everyone agreed that it could easily stand alone without the addition of the chocolate sauce. It just guilds the lilly really. Didn't have any mace but I don't think we missed anything. I will be making this again for Christmas. Can't wait!

Reviewed Sunny's Holiday PB and J Thumbprints

"Yummy Yummy in my tummy! I've been thinking of making a cookie along these lines for a few years and when I finally came across a recipe I decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed! I doubt these will last very long. The only thing I did differently was to roll them in regular old granulated sugar as I didn't have raw sugar on hand. Worked just fine. Also, I added a heaping 1/2 cup of peanut butter, as someone else suggested they needed a little more. This one's a keeper!
