"I was really looking forward to making this - and to everyone else's almost certain delight when they tasted it (based on many of the reviews here) - but I was underwhelmed. Yes, the guests at the cookout liked them but they weren't all raving or anything, and no one asked for the recipe (which I followed exactly for the dressing, omitting only th"
"Will have to try this again, and next time will saute the vegetables first before mixing with the cheese. They were way too crunchy after only 25 minutes of baking, and the flavor was quite spicy/hot since the garlic was still basically raw. Rated as "good" since aside from the raw garlic taste, the other flavors marry well - and the recipe is pro""

"Made this dish using turkey cutlets and light bleu cheese wedges by Laughing Cow. Other than that, followed the recipe exactly. Flavorful and satisfying. ""
Reviewed Cappellini al Forno
"I made a meatless version - instead of prosciutto I used a mixture of baby spinach leaves, chopped blanched broccoli and chopped zucchini. I also used regular, part-skim mozzarella instead of smoked. And I used panko breadcrumbs. I thought this dish came out very well, and was flavorful even without sauce. I would make it again."

"This was great. So easy and a great new way to have shrimp cocktail. I bought 2 pounds of huge shrimp (my fish market had only "under 12") for a party of 8 and it was devoured! "I made this for Christmas Eve last year and used much less red pepper flake than the recipe called for, as well as all the listed seafood ingredients. It was delicious but I felt it needed salt. I added salt to the leftovers and it was delicious.
I made it for a second time today with only cod and scallops. I used the called for amount of red pe"
I love to cook. Probably goes without saying since I'm on here. I love to eat even more. Normally I try a recipe first - to the letter. Then once I've made it the way the chef intended, I will adjust to my taste the next time around. I also enjoy baking and I've just started cake decorating (have taken one class). I think I am a good cook (my family and friends agree) but I feel like I don't know enough about ingredients or combinations of ingredients to experiment and be truly creative. I wish Food Network had a reality competition for people like me! You know... not the worst cook but not a professional either. People with potential who need to learn!
I work a lot and so don't have as much time as I'd like for practice. I rarely have time to cook during the week so most of my cooking is done on the weekends IF we don't have a million other things going on. I'm sure you know how that goes...
love seafood and italian most of all... but there aren't too many foods I don't like
