"I made this twice and the flavor is great. However, it is so runny. The second time I increased the cornstarch but still runny and not attractive looking. The crisp is not crisp and goes down into the cherry mixture. Maybe the cherries should be defrosted and blotted dry? "

"The five is for taste. Not EASE. The base went together fine. As others said, the caramel went into a ball when I added the cream. Then it would not freeze. I put it in a plastic container and the caramel came out in a lump. So I took a paring knife and "chopped" it up. Hope it freezes by tomorrow night when I serve it for company!! IT IS D"

"Made it exactly like the recipe. As one review suggested, I froze the cabbage for a day. It rolled very nice but was so tough we could not cut it. Also the rice did not cook. We thought it was a little too sweet from the brown sugar. Usually like Ina's recipes - just not this one. Liked the raisins though..."
