My Activity

Reviewed Pasta Salad

"My friend made it for our Annual KY Derby party this year. WOW, delicious! I'm going to make it for another get together later this month. My friend made the following suggestions: Add "lots" more veggies, and do about 1.5 times the dressing. She said the dressing isn't enough and the pasta soaks it up. Wonderful flavor, there were NO leftovers"

Reviewed Grapefruit Cake with Grapefruit Cream Cheese Frosting

"I have now made this cake about 5 times and even turned it into filled cupcakes this last time. We have tons of fresh grapefruit from our yard so this recipe makes THE most wonderful, light, refreshing cake I've ever had. It has turned into a fast favorite of my friends and family. Reviewed Cranberry Sauce

"Delicious and easy! This one is a keeper for sure-made it for Thanksgiving 2010. I was a bit rushed so rather than measure out the cinnamon stick(which I actually didn't have), allspice and nutmeg I added about a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice instead. Turned out fabulous. This was my first time making cranberry sauce w/fresh cranberries and I honestly can NOT justify buying it every again.

Reviewed Creme Brulee

"Wonderful flavor, however none of my guests could taste the orange liqueur so I'll either omit it completely or increase the measurement. I've made this recipe probably 6 times and it always comes out great, again, just can't taste the orange.

Reviewed Slow-Cooker Texas Chili

"The recipe has too much chili powder, so it was a touch overpowering. Also, it needs kidney beans! Had never had a chili before w/out beans and I missed them a lot. I really liked using chunks of chuck roast rather than ground beef..I'll stick to that from now on probably. I added 1/2 cup of kidney beans to my leftover bowl and microwaved it and it was much better. Favorite toppings: chopped green onions, fat free sour cream, reduced fat grated cheese(1 oz and a handful of yellow corn Doritos. Yum!
