Reviewed Farro with Cheese and Herbs

Jul 26, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I did not read the reviews before I made this, but instinctively cut down on the Herbs de Provence and salt. I wanted to make it a main vegetarian dish, so I added grilled eggplant, cubed, and some cubed fresh tomato. I used panko on top instead of the crusty bread. I also used 1% milk instead of whole milk and lo-fat cheeses. It came out great!...

Reviewed Beef Stew with Root Vegetables

This is the best beef stew I have ever had or made! The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the flavors were outstanding. I added some mushrooms, used potatoes instead of turnip (just because that's what I had) and increased the amounts of veggies slightly. We love a lot of veggies! Served it over the Creamy Cheesy Grits recipe...Wow! Than"

These grits are out of this world! I just added a little bit of salt and it really brought out the flavors. This in combination with the Beef Stew with Root Vegetables is amazing! Definitely have to invest some time, but more than well worth it!!"

Reviewed Grilled Buffalo Chicken Cutlets

Wonderful recipes! We cut boneless, skinless chicken breasts in to 1 inch strips and followed the recipe otherwise to the letter. A wonderful, healthier alternative to buffalo wings! The cole slaw was very tasty with the blue cheese taste very prominent. Wonderful accompniment to the chicken.

Reviewed Oven Baked Onion Rings

I followed the recipe exactly as given and I thought they came out fabulous! I will try the panko bread crumb alternative since I do not always keep baked potato chips on hand. Thank you Ellie for offering wonderful healthy alternatives to the foods that we love!
